Thought-provoking post. Another book that explores the concept of destination vs. journey--as well as the middle place--is Midlife: A Philosophical Guide by Kieran Setiya. For the philosophy nerds or lay nerds alike (of which I’m more the latter) interested in more exploration along these lines, it probes the value of process rather than achievement, and the value of engaging in activities that don’t have a terminal state (think maintaining relationships).
Enjoyed reading. Thank you Andy Dunn!
Enjoyed this. Another thought provoking book on this topic I read recently is Four Thousand Weeks. Highly recommend
